Full name: AS FC Buzău / FC Gloria Buzău. Originally founded June 16, 1973 as CSM Buzău; dissolved 2016; refounded August 25, 2016 as FC Buzău; rebranded FC Gloria Buzău summer 2022. Stadium: Stadionul Municipal Buzău (also called Stadionul Gloria / Stadionul Crâng), capacity 12,321, opened 1942, Crâng park area. RELEGATION NOTE: Gloria Buzău finished last (16th) in 2024-25 Liga I and were RELEGATED to Liga II. DISSOLUTION RISK: Following relegation, Buzău Municipality halted public funding; the club faced insolvency proceedings brought by players and Ilie Stan; the club was reported as dissolved/inactive in 2025. Best-ever Liga I finish: 5th in 1984-85, also reached the Balkans Cup semi-final that year. Ultras group: Peluza Crâng.
